MEET DR. PINTO

SHE LOVES HER WORK

Dr. Ines Pinto was born and raised in Portugal and graduated from veterinary school at Evora University, Portugal, in 2008. After graduation, she moved to Spain and completed a yearlong internship at the University of Barcelona Veterinary School in Equine Internal Medicine and Surgery.

After her internship, an opportunity presented itself to work with Egyptian Arabian horses, which led her on a two-year adventure in the land of the great pyramids. While in Egypt, she met her husband, who was serving in the U.S. Army at the time.

Dr. Pinto completed the American veterinarian certification in 2016 and has worked as a small animal veterinarian in the Huntsville and Athens area since. She loves her work and has a special interest in internal medicine, ophthalmology, and dermatology.

She shares her home with her husband Wade, their daughter and son, a sweet Beagle Mix named Roxie, a friendly Siamese cat named Whisky, and a mischievous Dachshund mix named Ollie. Dr. Pinto is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. In her free time, Dr. Pinto enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and gardening. Her favorite place is the beach.

Dr. Pinto built her clinic with a comfortable home-like atmosphere in mind for both the pets and their owners. She provides personalized, compassionate, and dedicated veterinary care to enrich the lives of her patients and their families while creating long-term relationships. She is looking forward to serving the Madison area.

MEET NATALIE SATTERFIELD

Natalie is an Alabama native who grew up watching Animal Planet, Steve Irwin, Meerkat Manor, and anything to do with horses. She originally wanted to become a Registered Nurse in human medicine but decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine in 2021. Natalie has an interest in equine, small animals, and zoo medicine. Her hobbies include reading books, listening to music, dog training, and spending time with her three beloved dogs – Bruce the Miniature Pinscher, Nina the crossbreed, and Alice the Australian Shepherd.

MEET BRYSTAL SUOZZO

Brystal started her veterinary assistant journey in 2015 while living in Myrtle Beach, SC. In 2020 her and her family moved back to her roots in Alabama. She has always had an interest in animals which was only amplified when watching Geo Kids and The Crocodile Hunter himself. Since then, she has found a passion for small animals, exotics, and dentistry while in her field.

She and her husband Nick met in 2010 at the motorcycle mechanics institute and have been together ever since. Married for 10 years and have an incredible son. She also shares her home with her 13-year-old Lab, “Memaw” Lily. Her hobbies include reading books, baking and cooking, and gardening her many plants.

MEET LINDSAY SHOST

Lindsay was born in Scotland, where her father was serving in the Navy, and lived in Iceland, Spain, and England, where she would constantly bring home stray animals. After earning her degree in Business Administration at Stirling University in Scotland, she came to the United States and worked in various industries until she found her dream job as a Veterinary Receptionist where she gets to love on animals all day.

She has four dogs and six cats of her own (yes, she still brings home strays), and two wonderful children. Her hobbies include reading and baking.

MEET CAYLA WILLIAMS

Cayla was born in New Jersey on McGuire Air Force Base where her father served for ten years before moving to Alabama. Cayla lived in California and Tennessee but somehow always ended up back in Alabama.

She grew up with her aunt on a farm and just fell in love with animals, seeing, feeding, and riding horses daily. Growing up she loved to sing, dance, and play with stuffed animals and baby dolls.

Every summer she would visit zoos and aquariums in different states. This caught her attention, and the excitement began her love and passion for animals. She is thrilled to start this new journey with Heritage Animal Clinic.

She loves to help people and always puts others before herself. Cayla’s free time consists of being with her Catahoula pit mix named Nash and traveling to new places. Singing, writing and playing music are a big part of her life, as is her Christian faith.
