Puppies and kittens are prone to disease and require extra pet wellness exams to ensure proper growth and development. Your pet will receive a complete physical evaluation during each pet wellness exam.
- Assessing your pet’s weight, body condition score, and temperature
- Listening to the heart and lungs to detect congenital abnormalities
- Using a specialized tool to evaluate the ear canal and examine the eyes
- Examining your pet’s skin for masses, external parasites, and skin conditions
- Palpating the abdomen to assess internal organ health and signs of parasitic infection
- Collecting a fecal sample to test for internal parasites and administering de-worming medication
We may recommend additional treatments if there are any health concerns. We will also discuss diet, behavioral, and potty-training techniques. Our team will be able to answer any additional questions you may have.

Their immature immune systems are at risk for developing life-threatening diseases. We will recommend a vaccination schedule tailored to your pet’s needs at your puppy or kitten’s first examination.
Proper puppy care, as well as proper kitten care, requires several vaccinations. Many of these vaccines require boosters. We will record each vaccination in your pet’s medical record and provide a detailed medical summary at the end of each visit.

Most puppies and kittens are born with intestinal parasites (worms). Treating a parasitic infection is essential to your puppy and kitten’s health. We will perform a fecal analysis to provide comprehensive parasite testing.
We recommend puppies and kittens get routinely dewormed for roundworms and hookworms. Your pet may require additional treatment or medications if other parasites are detected during the fecal analysis.
Preventing parasitic infections is just as important as treating them. Our team will provide you with a prevention plan that caters to the individual needs of your puppy or kitten.
