SICK PET EXAMS

We hope our patients stay healthy year-round, but should a situation arise where your pet requires inpatient supportive care, we are here to offer a dedicated team to keep them comfortable and well cared for. We are fortunate to have separate hospitalization areas for both cats and dogs, where each will receive a comfortable space to rest with extra padding, blankets, and love.

Like urgent care for people, we can provide treatment that falls between routine exams and emergency care.

During a sick patient exam, our vet will examine your pet and discuss their history with you. Depending on the issue, they may recommend additional testing to confirm the diagnosis, such as bloodwork, intestinal parasite screen, urinalysis, x-rays or ultrasounds, amongst other things.

Once the problem has been diagnosed, we’ll recommend a treatment plan for your pet to get them back to full health as quickly as possible, and if relevant, recommend steps you can take to avoid the issue occurring again.

We see cases by appointment only. If the schedule permits and the medicine we can provide is in the best interest of your pet, we will try our best to see your pet on a same day basis. However, if your pet is experiencing a true emergency, we will refer you to a 24-hour ER so that you and your pet receive the highest standard of care.
